The Department of Arabic of West Goalpara College is one of the premier departments of the College. The department is imparting higher education to the students of lower Assam since the establishment of the college in1981. Affiliated to the Gauhati University offering Major Course, the teachers and students of the department have brought laurels to the community since the year 1994-95. The faculty members look after the all round development of the students. Most of the alumni of this department are successful in their life by choosing various professions. Some are eminent Advocate in the High Court, Lower Court some of the alumni of this department is engaged in responsible position in Government and Non- Governmental sectors. Two of them appointed as Asstt. Professor in Arabic Department. Cordial and friendly relations among the students are the key success of the Department. Alumni also help and assist the Department wholeheartedly whenever assistance sought. In the year of the existence the pioneering efforts by these early and present incumbents of the Department help enormously in transforming it into full fledged and one of the best Department of the College.
At present there are 3 (Three) teachers in the department. It is mentioned that 3 teachers are serving in the sanctioned post. Among them one teacher has obtained Ph.D.

4. To develop scientific, intellectual and socio-economic and cultural skills among students.
5. To enhance the physical & mental fitness and develop socio-cultural qualities of students
