Celebration of International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking , Theme: "Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan- Viksit Bharat ki Pehchaan" at College Auditorium Hall on 26th June, 2026

 The International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking was celebrated at the College Auditorium Hall of West Goalpara College on 26th June, 2026 under the theme: “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan – Viksit Bharat ki Pehchaan.” The programme aimed to create awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and the importance of building a drug-free society. The programme was graced by Dr. Mushaur Rahman, Superintendent, Ambari Bazaar Model Hospital, who attended as the Resource Person. He delivered an informative and motivational lecture on the physical, psychological, and social consequences of drug abuse, emphasizing the need for preventive measures, healthy lifestyles, and collective responsibility in achieving a drug-free India. The programme was presided over by Dr. Abul Kashem Pramanik, Principal (i/c), West Goalpara College. In his address, he encouraged students to stay away from drugs and actively participate in spreading awareness within their families and communities. The event was attended by the Principal (i/c), teaching and non-teaching staff, and a large number of students. The programme concluded with a pledge to support the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan and work towards creating a healthier and drug-free society. The celebration was successful in sensitizing the participants to the dangers of drug abuse and reinforcing the importance of collective action for a Viksit Bharat.
